Taking care of yourself is a great way to live a healthy life. Getting your hair done, investing in the latest and greatest makeup, buying clothes, and wearing the latest accessories are all ways that many choose to take care of themselves. While all of these things are great, most of them take place outside of the home or require you to make appointments with local beauticians. There are many things that you can do at home, however, to take care of yourself. This article will highlight some beauty tricks that you can accomplish at home.
Teeth whitening. Our culture dictates that having a great smile with bright, Pearly Whites is a sign of prosperity. If you are a coffee drinker, smoker, or you enjoy dark colored beverages, you may notice some discoloration on your teeth over a period of time. While this can cause great disappointment and maybe even a change in how you view yourself, there are ways to fix it from the comfort of our own home. There are many teeth whitening kits that you can purchase that require you to apply a solution to your teeth that will whiten them and make them appear brighter. Consistency is key and you will notice results in just a few applications.
Nails. Skip the nail salon and give yourself a manicure and pedicure from the comfort of your own home. If you are concerned about toxic ingredients in nail polish, consider giving nail wraps a try. Typically made from all natural products that are even considered to be vegan, you can choose from a variety of colors and designs. They take up to an hour to apply and they look great for up to 2 weeks.
Facial. If you are prone to breakouts, red, puffy skin, or you want to improve your facial appearance. Consider giving yourself a facial while at home. You can do this by applying a facial mask and let is sit for a period of time. The mask will help to pull out dirt and grime that has been stuck in your pores.
Use an exfoliator. When washing your face, try using an exfoliator at least once a week. Doing so can help you rid your pores of unnecessary dirt and grime that has been clogging up your skin. If you do not have sensitive skin, consider using an exfoliator daily. If you have sensitive skin, however, start out by using a gentle exfoliator once a week to see how your skin responds. Gently use circling motions to help work the exfoliating ingredients in to your skin and be sure to wash thoroughly. Apply a lightweight moisturizer aftewards and your skin will feel healthier and look better.
Hydrate. This may not seem like a beauty trick to you, but it does make a critical difference in how you look and feel. Drinking enough water on a daily basis will help your skin appear fresh and gives it elasticity. When you have dry skin that is not hydrated, you can experience additional wrinkles, blemishes, and unhealthy pores.
